NADRA Converting Identity Cards into Digital Wallets Soon

 The Chief of National Data Base And Registration Authority  Mr. Tariq Malik has announced during an interview with a local newspaper  that NADRA is going to make your computerized Identity Cards as digital wallets for everyone as part of government digital Pakistan’s vision.

Further, Tariq Malik said  “Translating this vision into reality, we have launched the ‘Pak Identity’ mobile app as a key building block of digital ID to facilitate applicants of national identity cards through an online portal. The app helps capture biometric fingerprints, facial recognition, and scan documents needed for processing a person’s ID card using smartphones, without visiting a NADRA office or embassy”

Explaining the features of digital wallets, the Nadra chairman said it would be a unique digital ID. “This innovation will revolutionize the national ID eco-system in Pakistan by ensuring public convenience, and is a leap forward putting an end to the conventional physical ID.”

An app will be launched later this year for the digital Pakistan CNIC wallet for the citizens to manage digital wallets on both android and IOS which will help citizens to register for the wallet to  scan documents, capture fingerprints, and face reorganization using their smartphones without visiting NADRA or any franchise

He further explained that the features of this app will be different from other digital wallets apps working in Pakistan
